Why Jumpstart?
Imagine a cold December morning in New England.
You wake up and get ready for work, just like you do every day.
You brew the coffee. Feed the pets. Grab your jacket. Head out to your reliable car.
But when you turn the key, the motor whines.
You try again.
Nothing.
You need a jumpstart.
Hopefully a neighbor or passerby has (and knows how to use!) a set of jumper cables. With a little help, the power flows, the spark returns, and before long—you’re back on the road.
That’s the image behind our name.
For many faith communities, it feels like the engine has stalled. What used to start easily now takes effort. Children aren’t returning to Sunday school. Youth groups lost momentum during the pandemic. Worship attendance feels fragile, and energy for outreach and leadership is running low.
